Uninstalling Content Delivery with the Bundled Web Application Server

The bundled installation requires a specific uninstall procedure.

Before you begin

If you are using a Windows server with Java 8, make sure the JAVA_HOME and path environment variables are correctly set to Java 8 32-bit before attempting the uninstall or else the uninstaller won't be able to use Java 8 32-bit for the operation.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • For Windows, log on to the server with administrative privileges.
    • For Linux, Log on to the server as the root user.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On Windows, navigate to the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to Content Delivery, click Change/Remove.
    • On Linux, navigate to ContentDelivery_home/.., and then type ContentDelivery_home/Uninstall/Uninstall*ContentDelivery where ContentDelivery_home is the directory where Content Delivery is installed.
  3. In the Uninstall Knowledge Center panel, click Uninstall.
  4. When the process is complete, click Done.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • On Windows, navigate to the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to SDL_License, click Change/Remove.
    • On Linux, navigate to /opt/XyEnterprise/SDL_License/Uninstall, then type ./Uninstall.
  6. Backup and/or remove the remaining directories and files located at ContentDelivery_home .
