The bundled installation requires a specific uninstall procedure.
Before you begin
If you are using a Windows server with Java 8, make sure the JAVA_HOME and path environment variables are correctly set to Java 8 32-bit before attempting the uninstall or else the uninstaller won't be able to use Java 8 32-bit for the operation.
Procedure
- Do one of the following:
- For Windows, log on to the server with administrative privileges.
- For Linux, Log on to the server as the root user.
- Do one of the following:
- On Windows, navigate to the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to Content Delivery, click Change/Remove.
- On Linux, navigate to ContentDelivery_home/.., and then type ContentDelivery_home/Uninstall/Uninstall*ContentDelivery where ContentDelivery_home is the directory where Content Delivery is installed.
- In the Uninstall Knowledge Center panel, click Uninstall.
- When the process is complete, click Done.
- Do one of the following:
Tip: If you have other SDL products installed, skip this step (to retain the license file).
- On Windows, navigate to the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to SDL_License, click Change/Remove.
- On Linux, navigate to /opt/XyEnterprise/SDL_License/Uninstall, then type ./Uninstall.
- Backup and/or remove the remaining directories and files located at ContentDelivery_home .
