Unlocking a publication
Occasionally, you will be required to unlock a publication to troubleshoot publishing issues.
About this task
You can unlock the publication from the Content Delivery as described in the steps of this procedure or you can use the command line, as follows:
From the command line:
- cd ContentDelivery_home/db/LiveContent/config
- Double-click pub.xml
- In the publication section, delete the
<configitem name="locked_by" value=" "/> - Change
<configitem name="working_status" value="locked"/>to<configitem name="working_status" value="unlocked"/>
From the UI:
Procedure
- From the Administration Tools pane of the Content Delivery landing page, click Manage Publications.
- In the left column, click the publication and then expand the disclosure triangle to reveal each Language Code.
- For each Language Code, click the code to select it, and then ensure that Working area locked field in the right pane is unchecked.
- Click Save.
