You can view a Where Used report when you want to track and verify the appropriateness that a modification would make to a topic, image, variable, or condition that is reused in multiple publications and maps.
Procedure
- In the Publication Manager, open a publication:
- Click
The tree view of the repository is displayed.
- Locate the folder in the repository that contains your publications and click on it.
- In the right pane of the window, select the publication you want to open.
- Click the Open button.
- In the publication tree in the left pane, select the object, variable, or condition for which you want to view the Where Used report.

- Click
- The Where Used report appears at the bottom of the screen displaying a list of where the selected item is used in the publication.
- To view where the selected item is reused in the entire repository, open the drop-down select field in the right corner of the report then click Entire Repository.
