As a web search engine indexes your publication, there may be certain topics that you do not want indexed. This procedure describes how to exclude topics from being indexed.
About this task
By default, SDL LiveContent Reach disallows indexing of LiveContent_home/webapp/lib/ and LiveContent_home/webapp/admin/.
CAUTION:
Performing these steps does not guarantee that the search engines will not index the content. The best way to prevent search engines from finding and indexing your content is to remove the Use application permission from any groups to which the anonymous user belongs.
If an anonymous user is able to use the application they can view the content, and this would allow a search engine to eventually find and index your content (on a public, outside the firewall server). Another way to prevent search engines from indexing your content is to use a private server behind a firewall.
Publications and language versions that are not visible are not indexed.
