Uploading a publication into SDL LiveContent Reach

When you install SDL LiveContent Reach, you will want to upload, prepare, and make your a publications visible. Follow these steps to upload your publications intoSDL LiveContent Reach.

About this task

This procedure may not be valid if your site has made customizations to the LiveContentDoc publication.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the SDL LiveContent Reach server as a user with administrative privileges.
  2. Create a new folder.
  3. Copy or unzip the content you wish to publish into this folder.
  4. In a browser, login to the SDL LiveContent Reach application as a user with Manage Publications permission.
    The Review and Collaboration landing page appears.
  5. In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Publications.
    The Manage Publications page appears.
  6. In the left pane, navigate to the en language version under the folder containing the publication you want to upload to SDL LiveContent Reach.
  7. Click Upload Resources.
  8. Click Select Resources.
  9. Navigate to the folder in the directory that you created to download the documentation updates or your publication, select all the files in that folder, and then click Open.
  10. Click Upload.
  11. Click Configuration, and then do the following:
    1. In the Top-Level TOC Resource drop-down list, click the appropriate ditamap.
    2. In the Filter Resource drop-down list, click ProductDefinition.xml, if available.
    3. Click Save.
  12. Click Prepare Publication.
    You can only prepare a publication if you have installed a valid license.
  13. Check Make publication visible after successful prepare.
  14. Click Prepare.
  15. After the prepare process finishes, click Close.
    The Review and Collaboration landing page appears.
