Changing My Preferences

In User Preferences, you can select the language in which you would like to view the interface. This setting affects only the interface display; it does not select language of the content you want to view. You can also upload a photo, which will appear in the Comment Stream in the Review and Collaboration landing page, as well as from within a topic.

About this task

Depending on how your administrator has set up the system, you may not be able to edit your preferences through this interface. For example, in stand-alone mode (non-SSO authentication) you have access to the Password screen and a Log Out button.

Procedure

  1. If you are in a SDL LiveContent Reach tool, click Home in the breadcrumb trail.
The Review and Collaboration landing page appears.
  2. In the Frame Header, click the user name button located at the upper right, and then click Preferences.
    The User Preferences window appears.
  3. Specify a language for the SDL LiveContent Reach user interface.
In the Default Language field, click a language from the drop-down list.
The interface will change immediately to the new language. This language preference is used every time you log in as this user.
  4. Upload your photo.
    1. In the Photo field, click Choose File.
    2. Browse to the folder containing the photo that you want to upload, and then click it.
    3. Click Open.
    4. Drag the cursor (cross-hair) over the photo to crop it to the desired dimensions.
    5. Click and drag the photo to the desired position.
  5. Save your preferences.
Once all preferences are set, click Close.

Results

SDL LiveContent Reach saves your preferences and dismisses the User Preferences window.
