Status Types
Statuses can be freely defined. A status in SDL LiveContent Architect is either classified as a "Draft" status or a "Released" status.
A document can have different states, depending on the step of the process. Since all companies work in different ways, no workflow statuses are predefined or fixed in the system. An administrator needs to define the states that are to be used in your environment.
SDL LiveContent Architect divides statuses into two broad categories or status types:
- Draft status
- Indicates that the document is not yet suited for the intended audience. All states during authoring process should be defined as being draft states. The status gets a (D) in the state list.
- Released status
- Indicates that the document is suited for the intended audience. All states after the end of the authoring process should be released states. When an object has a released status, only administrators can modify the document. The status gets a (R) in the state list.
