Uninstalling SDL LiveContent Reach with a Third-Party Web Application Server

When you uninstall SDL LiveContent Reach, the program files are removed, but application data (content, customized styles, skins, and delivery packages) remains in the application data path. If you intend to reinstall to the same path after uninstalling, move the application data to a different location (or delete it) before reinstalling.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • For Windows, log on to the server with administrative privileges.
    • For Linux, Log on to the server as the root user.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On Windows, navigate to Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to SDL LiveContent Reach, click Change/Remove.
    • On Linux, navigate to LiveContent_home/.., and then type LiveContent_home/Uninstall/Uninstall*LiveContent where LiveContent_home is the directory where SDL LiveContent Reach is installed.
  3. In the Uninstall LiveContent panel, click Uninstall.
  4. When the process is complete, click Done.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • On Windows, navigate to the Programs and Features in the Control Panel, then next to SDL_License, click Change/Remove.
    • On Linux, navigate to /opt/XyEnterprise/SDL_License/Uninstall, then type ./Uninstall.
  6. Backup and/or remove the remaining directories and files located at LiveContent_home .
