New and changed in Reach 2014 SP3
The 2014 SP3 release of the Reach software component of SDL LiveContent runs on a new version of the eXist database, which results in a number of improvements.
- Performance and stability
-
Using the 2.2 version of eXist has improved both the performance and the stability of Reach. This includes the performance of the
loaddbcommandsBACKUPandRESTOREcommand, which are now recommended for backing up and restoring over using the eXist client. - Search
-
eXist 2.2 introduces better indexing of content for search. This leads to improved search results when searching in many languages. Specifically, search can now find words based on word stems (for example, searching for "working" yields search results containing the word "worked").
- Newly supported Java and Apache Tomcat versions
-
This version newly supports:
- Java 1.8_45
- Apache Tomcat 8.0
