Configuring fonts for PDF localization
To ensure support for targeted languages in PDF output, configure LiveContent S1000D to use a font family that includes a complete set of characters for the language in which the PDF will be produced.
The LiveContent S1000D default font family, Arial, may not include a full set of fonts for a language in which you will publish a PDF. Edit the LiveContent S1000D XSL-FO style files to replace the default font with one containing all the necessary characters for the language in which you will publish.
In the etc/styles/s1000d directory, find all instances of "Arial" and replace them with the name of a font family installed on your system containing the necessary characters. For example, to enable the use of Korean characters, you could replace the default font family with NanumGothic or MalgunGothic.
