SDL LiveContent S1000D Publishing Server and SDL LiveContent S1000D
SDL LiveContent S1000D is a software application for generating and viewing Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs). It consists of SDL LiveContent S1000D Publishing Server, for generating and publishing, and SDL LiveContent S1000D, for viewing and interacting with publications.
SDL LiveContent S1000D Publishing Server (also called LiveContent S1000D Publishing Server) typically resides on a server within the publishing organization that produces the publications. A single server supports multiple information consumers with output capability. Once a configuration has been set, the production of new technical manuals becomes highly automated. Because LiveContent S1000D Publishing Server is not distributed with published IETPs, the fielded manuals are immutable (with the exception of user/administrator notes and bookmarks). This ensures that fielded content is always tightly controlled by the publishing organization.
SDL LiveContent S1000D (also called LiveContent S1000D) is delivered with published sample IETPs. Highly configurable and interactive, LiveContent S1000D can support up to Level 2 / Class 5 IETPs through integration with diagnostic systems, reasoning engines and other applications. Because it sits on an XML database, users can see filtered views of content based on applicability, and can be guided to the information they need based on interactions with the manuals at runtime.
