Known issues and limitations

A list of known Machine Translation Edge issues and limitations.

  • User needs to install libSM.x86_64 when deploying the Machine Translation Edge application on Linux and Ubuntu OS.
  • IPv6 is not currently supported.
  • The MT Edge application installer has to be run as root/admin.

  • SMTP server responsiveness directly affects the following Machine Translation Edge Web GUI features:
    • From the SMTP Configuration page, the Send Test Email action may have delayed status confirmation.
    • From the Users management page, the Create new user action may have a delayed refresh of the Users list.
    • From the Web GUI login page, the Send Password Reset Email action may have a delayed confirmation that the password reset email was sent.
  • When a dictionary is uploaded, duplicate source segments are not detected at upload time, but will issue an error when trying to edit the dictionary via the Web GUI after upload.
