Editing an existing QA Model

The system QA Models (the LISA QA Model and the SAE J2450 Model) cannot be edited. User-created QA Models can be edited; if the model you wish to use resembles a system QA Model, it may be easier to make an editable copy of the existing model than to start from scratch.

Procedure

  1. From the TMS vertical sidebar click Settings and then Quality Assessment Models (in the Flow Administration & Automation section). Select an existing model and click the Edit button.
  2. Edit the Name and Description in each user interface language if needed.
  3. Select Apply to customer review if you wish for this model to be available for customers to review delivered project documents; if Apply to customer review is not selected, the new QA Model can still be used to assess providers on the workflow tasks they have performed.
  4. To add a new category, click the green + button below Add Category. To add a new severity, click the green + button below Add Severity. A category may be something like Spelling Mistakes, with severities Minor and Major. For each category, enter a weighting for each severity: using the previous example, a Spelling Mistake with severity Minor may cost the linguist 1 point, while a Spelling Mistake with severity Major may cost the linguist 5 points.
  5. Add new categories by clicking the green + button below Add Category. A category may be something like Spelling Mistakes.
  6. Add new severities by clicking the green + button below Add Severity. A severity may be something like Major or Minor.
  7. Enter a weighting for each category and severity combination. For example, a Spelling Mistake with severity Minor may cost the linguist 1 point, while a Spelling Mistake with severity Major may cost the linguist 5 points.
  8. Select the services for which your model can apply. It is possible a single model is not applicable to both translation and desktop publishing for example.
  9. Click Save.
