Terminology display
The Emphasize terminology option marks terminology in the source string field of the translation window.
Inserting terms in translation
Each term is marked with a red bracket. One of the brackets has slightly bolder line - this marks the current term. You can insert its translation using the Alt + Down Arrow key combination in the Translation field. Repeatedly pressing this combination inserts a different translation if several translations are found. Use the ALT + Left Arrow and Alt + Right Arrow key combinations to move the current selection to the previous or next term.
Terminology related options
The Terminology Recognition functionality uses a threshold of 10 terms for words longer than two letters. The limit does not apply for words shorter than three letters, therefore a string can contain multiple identical terms. This threshold appears only when using MultiTerm termbases.
You can also select the translations directly in the context menu of the term:
The Write to translation field and Copy to clipboard options determine what happens when you click on the translation for a term.
The Write all to fuzzy translation list option transfers all of the translations for the term into the Translation output window.
The Clear MultiTerm cache option updates Passolo with the term unit that has been changed in the MultiTerm termbase.
The Origin text area shows the name of the add-in, the name of the connection and the name of the termbase.
The Look Up... link opens the SDL MultiTerm window which displays the content of the added termbases. The link is available only for words longer than two letters.
The Options... link opens the Options window > Terminology Providers tab.
If further information is available for a term, an additional window showing this information appears when you mouse over the term. It shows the source text for the translation, which may vary a bit from the selected term. If the terminology stems from the current project, you can click Go To to jump to the corresponding text.
