Default triggers
SmartTarget comes with default Triggers. The list of Triggers available to you is extensible and depends on the configuration and implementation of your system.

The following triggers are default system Triggers:
Icon Trigger Value Description Current datedate Triggers a Promotion between specific start and end dates, or at specific time intervals (scheduling) for example daily, weekly, or monthly. Audience Manager is an SDL product that enables you to gather information about Contacts, such as interests, preferences, and characteristics and use this information for targeting content:

Session triggers allow you to use user session data as triggers for Promotions. Visitor triggers allow you to use attributes about the visitor and device they are using data as triggers for Promotions.

Session - Lengthinteger Triggers a Promotion based on the duration of the user session. Visitor - Authenticated?boolean Triggers a Promotion based on whether the user has been authenticated (they are who they claim to be). Visitor - Authentication Type?string Triggers a Promotion based on the authorization mechanism that is used for communication. Visitor - Browserstring Triggers a Promotion based on the Web browser used when making the HTTP request. Visitor - Operating Systemstring Triggers a Promotion based on the operating system used by the client application making the HTTP request. Visitor - Search Enginestring Triggers a Promotion depending on whether the client application making the request is a Web robot.
