What's new and changed in SmartTarget 2011 SP1

This section describes what is new and what has changed in SmartTarget 2011 SP1 with regard to the previous version of SmartTarget (SmartTarget 2011).

SmartTarget 2011 SP1 incorporates the following changes with regard to SmartTarget 2011:

Audience Manager cartridge moved
The Audience Manager cartridge, that allows you to use Contact details and extended details and Segments as triggers for promotions, is no longer delivered with SmartTarget. The cartridge is now available as part of the SDL Tridion suite of which Audience Manager is also a part.
Using bounce status, subscribe status and e-mail type as trigger types
A Contact's bounce status, subscribe status and e-mail type are put into the Ambient Data Framework by the Audience Manager cartridge. These were previously available for use out-of-the-box. To use these as triggers for promotions in SmartTarget 2011 SP1, you need to uncomment the relevant sections in the trigger-types.xml.
Content Delivery Web service extension
SmartTarget provides an extension to the Content Delivery Web service so that Online Marketing Explorer can get Promotions used in Fredhopper. For more information, see the Installation Manual.
