Displaying a filtered selection of segments

Learn about advanced filtering options.

Procedure

  1. Click Display Filter .
  2. In the Display Filter window, check the Enable filtering option and select the filter options you want to run.

  3. In the Display Filters window, select the criteria to filter the segments that you want or do not want to see displayed on the Translation page. For example, unchecking the box for 100% matches will hide those segments and display a solid bar between any non-100% match segments. Hovering over the solid bar indicates that segments have been excluded by the filter.

    Match Type:

    • Perfect Match - By default, this option is checked. Uncheck this option if you do not want to see PerfectMatched segments in the Translation page.
    • 100% matches - By default, this option is checked. Uncheck this option if you do not want to see 100% match segments in the Translation page.
    • Fuzzy matches - By default, this option is checked. Uncheck this option if you do not want to see fuzzy match segments in the Translation page.
    • No match - By default, this option is checked. Uncheck this option if you do not want to see segments that didn't receive any match in the Translation page.
    • Hide repetitions - By default, this option is unchecked. Check this option if you do not want to see repeated segments in the Translation page. The first instance of a segment will always be displayed unless it is excluded by one of the above options being unchecked.

    Segment State:

    • Confirmed - By default, this option is Not set. The Confirmed state is not considered when the filter is applied.

      Select Always to display Confirmed segments on the Translation page, regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them.

      Select Yes to display Confirmed segments on the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and exclude some Confirmed segments).

      Select No to exclude Confirmed segments from the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some Confirmed segments).

    • Locked - By default, this option is Not set.

      Select Always to display Locked segments on the Translation page regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them.

      Select Yes to display Locked segments on the Translation override this and exclude some Locked segments.

      Select No to exclude Locked segments from the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some Locked segments).

    • Machine translated - By default, this option is Not set.

      Select Always to display Machine translated segments on the Translation page regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them.

      Select Yes to display Machine translated segments on the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and exclude some Machine translated segments).

      Select No to exclude Machine translated segments from the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some Machine translated segments).

    • With comments - By default, this option is Not set.

      Select Always to display segments with comments on the Translation page regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them.

      Select Yes to display segments with comments on the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and exclude some commented segments).

      Select No to exclude segments with comments from the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some commented segments).

    • With term matches - By default, this option is Not set.

      Select Always to display segments with terminology matches on the Translation page regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them.

      Select Yes to display segments with terminology matches on the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option override this and exclude some segments with terminology matches).

      Select No to exclude segments with terminology matches from the Translation page (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some segments with terminology matches).

    • Changed at last human step - By default, this option is Not set.

      Select Always to display segments that have been changed at the previous human workflow step regardless of whether a subsequent filter would exclude them. Here, "changed" means either the target text was edited or a comment was added.

      Select Yes to display segments that have been changed at the previous human workflow step (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and exclude some changed segments).

      Select No to exclude segments that have been changed at the last human workflow step (keeping in mind that another Segment state option may override this and include some changed segments.

  4. The area Filter description displays the options selected for the filter and the order in which the various conditions will be applied. To apply the filter, select your criteria and click the Submit button on this window. To revert these options to the default settings, click the Reset button on this window.
  5. To deactivate the filter, uncheck the Enable filtering option and click the Submit button on this tab.
  6. To restore the initial filter options in order to show all segments in the Translation page, click the Reset button and then click the Submit button on this tab.
