Handling tasks in Exception

Procedure

  1. Display the task on the Exception screen and establish why the task failed:

Read all entries in blue. The entries tell you where in the workflow the exception occurred and why the exception occurred.

  • Click Task History to display the Task History screen where you can see a detailed breakdown of the processing history for the task.
  • Click Translation Page to open the task on the Translation screen where you can preview the file.

  1. Correct the problem that caused the task to fail. It may be necessary to talk to the system administrator to understand fully why a task failed and how to correct the problem:
    • If you need to upload a new target language version of the task, click Target Upload.
    • If you need to upload the source file for the task, click Source Upload.
  2. When the problem has been corrected you must restart the task. You can restart the task by repeating the step that originally failed or you can move the task to a different step and restart it.
    • To restart the task by repeating the step that originally failed, click Submit. If the problem has been corrected the step completes successfully and the task moves to the next step.
    • To restart the task at a different step, select the step in the Workflow Step box (under Modify Step) and click Submit. The step icon highlighted in yellow is the current step.
    • To terminate the task, select the Terminated step in the Workflow Step box (under Modify Step) and click Submit.
