Single Sign-on with SDL ID

Read about our new feature for single sign-on for SDL products and services.

SDL is introducing a new single identity for accessing SDL's products and services. This new capability is called SDL ID and allows users to manage a single account with just one set of credentials. SDL TMS 12.0 provides support for users logging in using SDL ID once they have linked their existing SDL TMS user accounts to their SDL ID accounts. Once SDL TMS 12.0 has been installed, the following steps will allow users to link their account to SDL ID (provided they already have an SDL ID with a validated email address):

  • A system administrator will configure SDL TMS 12.0 to enable SDL ID
  • The user will log in to SDL TMS 12.0 using their previous username and password
  • SDL TMS 12.0 will prompt the user to link their account to their SDL ID
  • The user logs in to SDL ID using their email and password
  • SDL TMS 12.0 changes the username to the validated email address on the SDL ID and changes their account so that in the future they log in using SDL ID
As previously stated, SDL ID will allow access to multiple products and services as it is rolled out. Other supported platforms include:
  • SDL Language Cloud
  • SDL Managed Translation
  • SDL.com
  • SDL Community
  • SDL Support
  • SDL App Store

SDL ID requires that you enable third-party cookies in your web browser. SDL ID can also be configured to connect to your existing identity provider through Active Directory, ADFS, LDAP, SAMLP and more. For more information, contact your SDL representative or account manager.

For more information on linking accounts and using SDL ID, see the relevant sections in the SDL TMS User Guide.
