You can specify batch processing settings are used when you perform any batch tasks. These settings can be defined in the following places: - Batch processing
Use the Batch Processing settings to specify what settings are used when running a batch process. - Batch processing > Analyze files
Click File > Options > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Batch Processing > Analyze Files to go to the Analyze Files Settings page. Here you can specify the settings to use when you run the Analyzes files batch task. This batch task is performed by default when a project is created as part of the Analyze Only task sequence. You can also run this task at any time during the project lifetime. - Batch processing > Export files
Use the Batch Processing > Export Files settings to specify what format a file is in when it is exported into a folder separate from the project. This export occurs when you run the Export Files batch task. This batch task can be run at any point during the project life cycle. - How to send files for bilingual review in Word
For reviewers who do not have SDL Trados Studio installed, you can export the*.sdlxlifffile to a bilingual review document format (*.review.docx) which can be opened in Microsoft Word. The reviewed document can then be imported back into Studio and the*.sdlxliffupdated with edits, tracked changes, reviewed statuses and comments. - Batch processing > Fuzzy bands
Use the Batch Processing > Fuzzy Bands settings to specify which fuzzy bands are used during translation analysis. Fuzzy Bands are the translation memory fuzzy-match bands that will be used when the translation analysis is performed. The analysis figures will show the number of segments, words, characters in the project files that fall in each of the bands. You can change the default settings, remove a band or add a new band (by splitting an existing band). Translation analysis occurs when you run the Analyze Files batch task. These bands are used in the Analysis Statistics window in the Projects and Files view and also when the Analyze Files report is generated during the Analyze Files batch task. - Batch processing > Pre-translate files
Use the Batch Processing > Pre-translate Files settings to specify the settings control how the translation memories are applied to the project files when you run the Pre-translate batch task. This batch task is performed by default when you create a project. - Batch processing > Project Translation Memories
Use the Batch Processing > Project Translation Memories settings to specify the settings control what type of project translation memory is created during the Populate Project Translation Memories batch task. - Batch processing > Pseudo-translate files
Use the Batch Processing > Pseudo-translate Files settings to specify what settings are used when you run the Pseudo-translate batch task. This enables you to simulate how a translated document will look after translation and how much extra engineering work will be required before actual translation is done. - Batch processing > Translation Memory Updates
Use the Batch Processing > Translation Memory Update settings to identify which translations are added to the translation memory (TM) and whether they are added as new translation units or replaces an existing translation unit. - How to update Studio with bilingual review files from Word
If you sent your files for bilingual review using the Export for Bilingual Review batch task, you can import the content of the bilingual review documents back into SDL Trados Studio. This import updates the target segments in the*.sdlxliffproject file with any edits, tracked changes, reviewed statuses and comments. - Batch processing > Verify files
Use the Batch Processing > Verify Files settings to specify if messages that are marked as 'ignored' appear in the verification summary or reports.
