Create Project Package Wizard > Review Project Packages

The Review Project Packages page of Create Project Package wizard is used to:

  • Review the package contents.
  • Specify a manual task to be completed.
  • Assign the package to a user to complete the task.
  • Specify any files to be included as reference.
  • Specify the date which the task must be completed by.

To display this page of the wizard, click Next on the Project Package Options page of the Create Project Package wizard.

Packages

Packages

Packages are displayed here. Select a package to display the package properties and contents in the right-hand part of the page.

During package creation each package is given a name. By default package names are either the project name or the project name and target language, depending upon whether you have created a single package or split your package by target language. If there is more than one package per target language, a number is appended to the package name.

Package and Tasks Details

Name

If you want to change the package name, select the package in the Packages box and enter the new name here.

Assign to

Select a user to which to assign the manual task from the drop-down list. If the user you want to assign the task to is not included in the drop -down list, click Users to display the Users dialog box where you can create, edit or import users. See About Managing Users for more information.

Task

Select a manual task to assign to the specified user for this package. For example, you may want to assign the Translate task to this package to indicate that the files need to be translated. If the task you want to assign is not included in the drop-down list, click Tasks to display the Manual Tasks dialog box where you can create new manual tasks.

Due Date

If you want to give the package a date and time by which the task must be completed by, select a due date and time from the drop-down lists here.

Comment

If you want to add a comment to the package, enter it here. The team member who receives the package will see this comment when they import the package.

Files List

In the bottom right-hand part of the page, the files included in the selected package/folder are displayed. The following columns are displayed by default. To display additional columns or to remove columns from the layout, right-click and select Customize from the shortcut menu. The Customize Layout dialog box is displayed.

Name

This column displays the name of the file.

Reference File

Select the check box in this column to make a file that is normally translatable or localizable, a reference (read-only) file. This means that the package recipient is not meant to change the file but only use it for more background information. For example, if you send out separate packages for each chapter of a book to different translators, you may want to send all other chapters to a translator for context.

If the usage of this file is already specified as Reference, this field is not editable.

Sent Task

This column displays the name of the most recent manual task

that was assigned that included this file.

Words

This column displays the number of words in the file.

Status

This column displays the current status of the file, for example, Translated or Reviewed.

Progress

This column displays the percentage that the file is complete in its current status. For example, if the status of the file is In Translation, the percentage would represent how many segments have been translated in the file.

Size

This column displays the size of the file in bytes.

Type

This column displays the user-friendly name for the file type and appears in the navigation pane in the Options dialog box.

Usage

This column displays the three usage types:

  • Translatable - these are files that can be translated and converted, if they not already been converted, to *.sdlxliff files for translation.
  • Localizable - these are files that need to be translated, but which cannot be converted to *.sdlxliff format. For example, graphics files that are marked as Reference may contain text that needs to be localized. You can change the usage of such files to Localizable to flag this.
  • Reference - these are files that provide resources to help translators with the translation of project files but are not to be translated themselves.

Filter Settings

This column displays the settings used to process the content of the source file to prepare it for translation.

Path

If your project source files are arranged in a folder hierarchy, and this file is in a sub-folder, the folder location details are displayed in this column.

Original Name

This column displays the name of the source language file that generated this *.sdlxliff file.

Include Subfolders

If your folder structure contains subfolders, selecting the Include subfolders option allows you to select a higher level folder in the Packages box to display all files within that folder and the files in all the subfolders beneath that folder.

Add Files

Click this button to display the Select Files dialog box where you can select additional files from the project to add to the packages selected in the Packages box. This is useful if you want to add reference files to package.

Remove Files

Click this button to remove the selected file was the package.

Move to Package

Click this button to display the Move Files dialog box where you move the selected file(s) to a different package. You can also drag and drop files into a different package.

Click Next to go to the Additional Options page of the Create Project Package wizard.
