Error messages

If you get an error message, you can get further assistance from SDL by sending them the error details.

How to view error details

About this task

To view error details, click Show error details . If you are importing TMX files into SDL Trados Studio and find this button is grayed out, see KB article for further info.

How to log a Support request and send error details

Procedure

  1. When an error message is displayed in Studio, click Save error details. The Save As dialog box is displayed.
  2. Navigate to the location where you want to save the error and click Save. The file is saved as an *.sdlerror.xml file.
  3. Send the *.sdlerror.xml file to the Customer Support team. To contact Customer Support, see Getting Support.
