How to find text

You can search for text in a document in the Editor window from the Find tab in the Find and Replace dialog box. You can also replace search text.

Procedure

  1. In the Editor view, select Edit > Find to open the Find and Replace dialog box on the Find tab.
  2. Enter the search text in the Find what box.
  3. Select if you want to search the entire document or a selection of text from the Look in drop-down list.
  4. Select Source to search the source segment text or Target to search the target segment text.
  5. Click Find options to select your search settings.
  6. Click Find Next to find your search text in the document. When matching text is found, it is highlighted in orange in the Editor window, as in the example below:
  7. Click Find Next to find the next instance of your search text in the document.
  8. When Studio has finished searching your document, the following message is displayed: No more matches found. Click OK to close the message.
  9. Enter any new search criteria in the Find & Replace dialog box or click Close to close the Find and Replace dialog box.
