Modifying your proxy settings

If you are having problems connecting to the SDL Activation Server during online activation or deactivation, you may want to modify your proxy server settings. Alternatively, you can choose to activate or deactivate offline.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Display the Connection Settings dialog box by doing one of the following:
    • If you have attempted to activate or deactivate online and the Activation Failed because you could not connect to the SDL Activation Server, then you are prompted to modify your connection settings. Click Yes.
    • In the Product Activation dialog box, click the Alternative activation options link on the Activate online page. Click Connection Settings.
  2. Modify the settings as needed and then test the connection. If you are still unable to connect to the SDL Activation Server, you can choose to activate or deactivate offline instead.

    Click Refresh to reset your proxy settings.
