Open Package Wizard > Review Package Contents

Use the Review Package Contents page of the Open Package wizard to review the contents of the package you want to open and preview any files included in the package.

To display this page of the wizard, first select File > Open > Package from the menu bar. The Open Package dialog box is displayed. Click Open on this dialog box. The Review Package Contents page of the Open Package wizard is displayed.

Package and Task Details

Package type

The type of project package:

  • Project Package - Project packages have a *.sdlppx, *.sdlrx, *.ttp, *.stppk or a *.wsxz extension and usually contain project files that need translating or reviewing.
  • Return Package - Return packages use the same extension as the original package, apart from *.sdlppx packages which are returned with a *.sdlrpx extension. Return packages usually contain project files that are translated and/or reviewed.

Project

The project to which this package belongs.

Task

The manual task that is assigned to the recipient of this package. For example, the Translate task would indicate that these files need to be translated.

Due date

The date by which the manual task assigned must be completed on the files in this package.

Assigned by

The person who assigned the specified manual task to this package.

Assigned to

The person who must complete the manual task specified.

Customer

The name of the customer for which these files are being translated.

Comment

Any additional instructions about the manual task you need to perform on these files or comments about the task that has been completed.

Files

The number of files in this package.

Total Words

The total number of words in the files in this package.

Untranslated words

The number of words in the files that have not yet been translated.

Unreviewed words

The number of words that have not yet been reviewed.

Package Box

Select a package or a folder within a package to display the files in the bottom right-hand pane.

Project Folder

The location where the package files are saved on your computer. You can only import project packages to empty folders.

Append project name to project folder

Enable this if you want to name the project folder with the name of the project.

Use default Studio project location

Enable this if you want to work with the default folder location. If disabled, you will keep working with most recent project folder.

View File

Select a file and click this to open a preview window where you can preview the source and target language versions of the selected document side-by-side. This preview includes the segment status column which appears in the center of the side-by-side window. The column displays icons that provide information about the current status (confirmation level) of target language segments. For example, if the segment has been pre-translated and contains an 100% from the translation memory.

Include Subfolders

If your folder structure contains subfolders, selecting the Include subfolders option allows you to select a higher level folder in the bottom left-hand pane to display all files within that folder and the files in all the subfolders in the right-hand pane.

Files List

In the bottom right-hand part of the page, the files included in the selected package/folder are displayed. The following columns are displayed by default. To display additional columns or to remove columns from the layout, right-click and select Customize from the shortcut menu. The Customize Layout dialog box is displayed.

Language

This column displays the language into which the file is to be translated.

Name

The name of the file.

Words

This column displays the number of words in the file.

Status

This column displays the current status of the file, for example, Translated or Reviewed.

Progress

This column displays the percentage that the file is complete in its current status. For example, if the status of the file is In Translation, the percentage would represent how many segments have been translated in the file.

Reference File

This indicates if the file was included as a reference file in this package.

Size

This column displays the size of the file in bytes.

Filter Settings

This column displays the settings used to process the content of the source file to prepare it for translation.

Path

If your project source files are arranged in a folder hierarchy, and this file is in a sub-folder, the folder location details are displayed in this column.

Click Finish to start the import process and go to the Importing Package page of the Open Package wizard.
