Overview: Layouts - Files View

The layout of the columns at the top of Files view can be changed to include different columns. To populate the list, select a target language from the drop-down list in the navigation pane. You can display the project files in a variety of layouts by selecting one of the options from the Layout drop-down menu available in Files view > Home tab > Layout group.

  • File details layout - This layout displays basic details about the document, for example when it was last modified.
  • Confirmation statistics layout - This layout displays the confirmation level information for target language segments words.
  • Analysis statistics layout - This layout displays the translation origin information for the document.
  • Sent tasks layout - This layout displays information about the packages you have sent and the manual tasks you have assigned to project team members. This layout is typically used by a project manager.
  • My tasks layout - This layout displays information about the packages you have received and the tasks that are assigned to you.
  • File assignment layout - This layout displays information about the file assignments created for the SDL Studio GroupShare project file.

You can also create a new layout and add it to this list.

Layout Columns

This table describes all of the columns that can be displayed in the File details layout, Confirmation statistics layout, Analysis statistics layout and File assignment in the Files view.

If you select My Tasks or Sent Tasks from the navigation tree, different columns are also displayed.

This list is sorted alphabetically.

100%

Shows the number of words for which a 100% translation memory match was found.

Assigned By

Shows the name of the user who assigned the manual task to another user to complete.

Assigned To

Shows the name of the user who is assigned to complete the manual task for this file.

Checked Out To

Shows the name of the user who has checked out the file.

Comment

Shows any additional instructions that were entered when the manual task for this file was assigned.

Completed At

Shows the date when the manual task for this file was completed. For example, when the translation or review of the file was complete.

Context Match

Shows the number of words for which a context match was found in the translation memory.

Created At

Shows the date when the manual task that needs to be completed for this file was created.

Created By

Shows the user that assigned the manual task to this file.

Due Date

Shows the date by which the manual task assigned for this file needs to be completed.

Draft

Shows the number of words that have a Draft status. This indicates that the word is part of a target segment that may have been changed but it is not yet considered fully translated, or a translation memory match was applied to the segment but the segment text has since been edited.

File Type Identifier

Shows the filter settings file selected for each file. These settings determine how files of different types are processed by SDL Trados Studio.

Finalization

Shows the name of users to whom the file is currently assigned in the Finalization phase. A green button next to the name of the user indicates that the file is currently in the Finalization phase. Fuzzy Match

Shows the number of words translated with a less than perfect (100%) translation memory match.

Language

Shows the language into which the file is to be translated.

Local State

Shows what version of a file from a GroupShare project you have on your computer. For more information on available states, see GroupShare Project Local File States.

My Task: Completed

Shows if the task assigned to you for this file is completed.

My Task: Due By

Shows the date by which the manual task assigned to you for this file is due.

Name

Shows the name of the file.

No Match

Shows the number of words for which no match was found in the translation memory/memories.

Not Translated

Shows the number of words that have not been translated or edited yet.

Original Name

Shows the name of the source language file that generated this *.sdlxliff file.

Path

Shows the location details for the project source files arranged in a sub-folder.

PerfectMatch

Shows the number of words for which a PerfectMatch was found.

Preparation

Shows the name of users to whom the file is currently assigned in the Preparation phase. A green button next to the name of the user indicates that the file is currently in the Preparation phase. Progress

Shows the percentage that the file is complete in its current status. For example, if the status of the file is In Translation, the percentage would represent how many segments have been translated in the file.

Review

Shows the name of users to whom the file is currently assigned in the Review phase. A green button next to the name of the user indicates that the file is currently in the Review phase. Received From

This column displays the name of the user who sent you a package with an assigned manual task.

Received Task

Shows the name of the manual task which is assigned to you.

Repetitions

Shows the number of words that are repetitions of previously counted words.

Schedule

Shows the Gantt chart displaying the file progress timeline.

Sent Task

Shows the name of the most recent manual task that was assigned that included this file.

Sent Task: Completed

Shows if the assigned task is completed.

Sent Task: Due By

Shows the date by which the work on this file should be completed.

Sent To

This column displays the name of the user to which the manual task was assigned.

Sign-off Rejected

Shows the number of translated words that have been rejected during the sign-off process.

Signed Off

Shows the number of translated words that have been approved and signed-off.

Size

Shows the size of the file in bytes.

Started At

Shows the date when the manual task for this file was started. For example, when the translation or review of the file started.

Status

Shows the current status of the file, for example, Translated or Reviewed.

Task

Shows the name of the manual task that needs to be completed for this file. Depending if you selected My Tasks or Sent Tasks in the navigation tree, this task is assigned to you or to someone else to complete for this file.

Translated

Shows the number of words where the translation has been confirmed as complete.

Translation

Shows the name of users to whom the file is currently assigned in the Translation phase. A green button next to the name of the user indicates that the file is currently in the Translation phase. Translation Approved

Shows the number of translated words that have been approved by the reviewer.

Translation Rejected

Shows the number of translated words that have been rejected by the reviewer.

Type

Shows the type of task that has been performed or needs to be performed on this file.

Usage

Shows the three usage types:

  • Translatable - these are files that can be translated and converted to *.sdlxliff files for translation, if they have not been converted already.
  • Localizable - these are files that need to be translated, but which cannot be converted to *.sdlxliff format. For example, graphics files that are marked as Reference may contain text that needs to be localized. You can change the usage of such files to Localizable to flag this.
  • Reference - these are files that provide resources to help translators with the translation of project files but are not to be translated themselves.
Words

Shows the number of words in the file.
