Overview: Batch Delete Wizard
Use the Batch Delete wizard to identify a set of translation units in a translation memory and delete them all using a single batch delete. You use a filter to identify the translation units to be deleted.
To display this wizard, make the translation memory for which you want to batch delete translation units the active translation memory in the Translation Memories view and select from the menu bar.
When you apply a batch delete to a translation memory, you are not required to authorize the deleting of each individual translation unit affected by the batch process. However, you are required to set up each batch process by specifying:
- How to identify the translation units to be deleted.
- The nature of the change to be made to the translation units.
For example, in order to batch delete translation units you have to create a filter that identifies the translation units to be deleted. However, once you have done this, SDL Trados Studio searches the translation memory for all translations units that match the filter and automatically deletes them.
The wizard contains the following pages:
| Page | Description |
|---|---|
| Batch Delete Filter | This is where you specify which translation units should be deleted. Click Batch Delete Wizard > Batch Delete Filter for more information. |
| Applying Batch Delete Script | This is where it tracks the progress of the batch delete and displays the delete results. Click Batch Delete Wizard > Applying Batch Delete Script for more information. |
