During spell checking, you can ignore elements within a segment, such as an email address. You can also choose to ignore certain types of segments during spell checking. For example, locked segments are automatically excluded from the spell checking.
Procedure
- Select from the Ribbon. The Options dialog box is displayed.
- Select from the navigation tree.
- Under Spelling, all ignore options for elements are selected by default. Clear or select a check box as required.
Note: If you are using the Microsoft Word spell checker, ignore settings for elements must defined in Microsoft Word. Before doing this, close SDL Trados Studio and then restart it after you have specified your settings.
- Under Ignore Segment Types, select or clear the check box next to the segment types you want to ignore or include in spell checking.
- Click OK to save your settings and close the Options dialog box.
