Term recognition window
The Term Recognition window in the Editor view displays the results of the termbase search for the current source segment. The first known term is displayed in the window in the Editor view along with its translation in the target language entry in SDL MultiTerm (Desktop). Terminology recognition describes how SDL Trados Studio compares the current source sentence with the data in MultiTerm. MultiTerm automatically suggests terms as you translate your documents. This allows you to work with your termbases from within the Studio environment. Every known term (including multiple word terms) or every term that is similar to terms stored in the MultiTerm termbase is highlighted by a red bracketed line in the source segment text in the Editor window.
The Term Recognition window is always present in the Editor view (unless you close it completely). If the Term Recognition window is currently hidden behind other windows, click the Term Recognition window name tab or select from the menu bar.
By default Studio automatically performs a termbase search whenever you place the cursor in an untranslated segment (one for which the translation has not been confirmed). The best translation memory match is automatically placed in the target segment and, if the match is a 100% match, the translation is automatically confirmed.
