Text (regular expression delimited text) settings
The file type Text is used for text files (*.txt files) that are structured by patterns of embedded text. These patterns of text are specified in the form of regular expressions. For text files divided into columns, see the Simple Delimited Text Settings topic.

| Line breaks | This setting only has an effect if you also specify a multi-line pattern for translatable text with the Text file type Document structure settings. Replace Line Breaks with inline tag has the same effect on the translated file as Keep Line breaks. The difference between the two is how line breaks are displayed in an editor. |
| Notification | You can choose to display warning messages if tags are not properly paired. This setting only has an effect if you also define tag pairs in the Text (Regular Expression Delimited Text) file type, Document structure settings. |
| Unicode UTF-8 Byte Order Mark | You can choose when the SDL file support software should insert a UTF-8 Byte Order Mark (BOM) in the target document. |
