Translation Quality Assessment for custom quality analysis
Use the new Translation Quality Assessment feature in Studio 2015 to measure the quality of a translation using custom quality criteria.
Set up a TQA framework by choosing the quality metrics that matter most to you and weighing their importance. This framework guides the reviewers when evaluating translations and enables Studio to determine the quality of a translation automatically.
Translation issues are distributed into preset categories and can take different severities. These categories and severities have penalty points associated to them. Studio adds up the penalty points to give you a detailed report on the document's quality.
The Studio 2015 Service Release 1 brings a handful of improvements to the Translation Quality Assessment feature. Overall, the usability and functionality has been enhanced, especially when it comes to adding and editing TQA items in a document. The feature has also been improved so that:
- you can now export and import TQA configurations
- TQA report now gives you a visual representation of additions or deletions in the changed segments
- it is now possible to create a severity with 0 penalty points to indicate, for instance, repetitions of errors that should not count towards the total penalty point count
- you can also associate a target text fragment with its corresponding source text fragment when adding or editing a TQA item.
