Upgrade Translation Memories Wizard > Upgrade Translation Memories

The Upgrade Translation Memories wizard page is displayed if you open a legacy translation memory (SDLX 2007 or SDL Trados 2007 files) Translation Memories view. From here you can start the upgrade process of the legacy TM files to the SDL Trados Studio format (*.sdltm) or you can choose to display further upgrade settings.

Quick Upgrade

Click this to upgrade the translation memories using the default settings. The Upgrading Translation Memories page is displayed.

Custom Upgrade

Click this to specify the settings to use when upgrading your translation memory, for example, if the upgraded translation memory is file or server-based. The Output Translation Memories page is displayed.

Name

This column displays the name of the legacy translation memory, TMX file or SDL WinAlign Export TXT file that is to be upgraded.

Location

This column displays the location of the legacy translation memory, TMX file or SDL WinAlign Export TXT file.

Translation Units

This column displays the number of translation units in the legacy translation memory, TMX file or SDL WinAlign Export TXT file.

Specify the location to store temporary files created during the conversion process:

Temporary files that are created during conversion are stored in this location. To change the default location click Browse.
