Using Wildcards in Find and Replace
You can use wildcards when finding and replacing text in the Editor view and Translation Memories view. To do this, you must first select the Use Wildcards option in the Find and Replace dialog box. You can display this dialog box by clicking Home tab > Editing group > Find or
Replace.
You can use the following wildcards:
- Use a question mark ? wildcard to match a single character at the current position.
- Use an asterisk * wildcard to match zero or more characters at the current position.
For example, searching for ' tea*coffee' would match:
'tea and coffee'
'tea or coffee'
'tea, coffee'
