Viewing the status of server connections

Server connections are viewed and managed from the Servers dialog box. To display this dialog box, select File > Setup > Servers >

The Servers dialog box displays the current status of all servers for which you have set up a connection.

The Status column indicates if the server is available to connect to.

  • Available - The server is available to connect to.
  • Authentication Failed - You user name and/or password is incorrect so you cannot connect to the server.
  • Windows Authentication is not supported via http - To connect to this server, you need to use SDL authentication and enter a user name and password.
  • Unknown - The current status is unknown. Click Check Server Availability to see if you can connect to this server. If you cannot connect to the server, a message is displayed and the status remains as Unknown. This may occur if you have incorrect server details, for example the wrong server address or is the server has been shut down.
