Applying translation results

You can apply the available translation memory (TM) matches to your active file, in the Editor view. Two types of TM matches are available: repaired translation results (which use upLIFT Fuzzy Repair) and un-repaired translation results (which do not use upLIFT Fuzzy Repair).

Before you begin

To apply repaired or un-repaired translation results, you must make sure Match Repair is enabled.

About this task

By default, a lookup is performed in the TM automatically when you place the cursor in a segment.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
  2. Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
  3. Place the cursor in an area of the source text. The translation match results are displayed in the Translation Results window.
  4. If more than one match is found, in the Translation Results window, view the other matches by selecting Select Next Match or Select Previous Match. Alternatively, press Alt+PageUp and Alt+PageDown.
  5. In the Translation Results window, decide which match you want to apply to your translation: Apply Translation Result or Apply Translation without upLIFT Repair.
