Bilingual Excel Studio
Bilingual Excel Studio file types have the *.xlsx.
- Activating Bilingual Excel file types
When selecting the appropriate file type for processing Excel files, SDL Trados Studio considers the file extension and at the order of the file types in the File Types list. Because Bilingual Excel files have the same extension as regular Excel files, (*.xlsx), SDL Trados Studio cannot automatically determine if an Excel file contains bilingual content. - Configuring Bilingual Excel file types
You can configure Bilingual Excel settings, so that you customize the way this file type is processed during translation or review. Use this file type to extract content from Microsoft Excel files where the source and target text is organized into the columns of a spreadsheet. - Extending custom Bilingual Excel for all future projects
If you are regularly working with Bilingual Excel files, consider saving the custom setting that you make to a project's Bilingual Excel file type. Saving your settings enables you to reapply them to any new projects that you create in SDL Trados Studio. - Extending custom Bilingual Excel settings for specific future projects
Create a project template dedicated to processing bilingual Excel documents. Project templates enable Trados Studio to automatically use the Bilingual Excel file type and your custom settings only for projects that contain Excel files with bilingual content. - Working with Multilingual Excel Files
By default, the Bilingual Excel file type can handle Excel spreadsheets where the content is organized into columns, for one source and one target language. However, you can also translate the content of an Excel sheet organized into columns for multiple languages.
