Changing the Editor display settings
You can control what data is displayed and how it is displayed in the Editor view.
You can change the display settings at any time. Changes are effective immediately.
The display options are located in the Options dialog, under Editor.
- Showing and hiding the file structure information column
You can adjust the editing area available in the Editor window, of the Editor view, by toggling the file structure column on and off. - Showing and hiding text formatting
You can toggle the display of text formatting on and off. By default, text displayed in the Editor window, of the Editor view, is displayed in WYSIWYG format. This means that any formatting applied to the original document text is visible in the Editor window. For example, text that has bold formatting applied is displayed in bold and underlined text is underlined. - Showing and hiding recognized formatting tags
You can toggle the display of formatting tags on and off. By default, standard formatting tags (bold or italics for example) are not displayed in the Editor window, of the Editor view. The formatting is visibly applied to segment text, but the tags themselves do not appear. - Showing and hiding segment numbers
You can toggle the display of segment numbers on and off, in the Editor window, of the Editor view, to create a larger editing area. - Showing and hiding whitespace characters
You can toggle the display of whitespace characters on and off, in the Editor window, of the Editor view. By default, whitespace characters appear as blank spaces in the document text. However, you can choose to display them as symbols. - Specifying Concordance Search window settings
