Creating regulator review bundles

If you work in a Regulated Industry and have purchased a license containing this feature, you can send a bundle of files to an external regulator for review. A bundle is a *.zip file folder that contains a specific collection of files needed by the regulator.

Before you begin

To use this feature, you need:

  • A license that supports it
  • A project that contains at least one *.docx file. You cannot create bundles from other file types in SDL Trados Studio.

About this task

The files can be reviewed outside SDL Trados Studio in Microsoft Word and any updates imported back into SDL Trados Studio.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Files view and select the file(s) that you want to include in the bundle.
  2. On the Home tab, in the File Actions group, select Batch Tasks > Create Regulator Review Bundle.
  3. On the Batch Tasks page,, of the Batch Processing wizard, select Next.
  4. If you selected multiple files, the Files page is displayed. Select the files that you want to send for review, and then select Next.
  5. On the Settings page, select Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Batch Processing > Create Regulator Review Bundle from the navigation tree.
  6. Optionally, change the location where the bundle will be created.
  7. Select Finish.
  8. When the wizard is finished creating the bundle, select Close.
  9. A prompt is displayed asking if you want to open the *.zip folder containing the bundles. Select Yes.
The Regulator Bundle folder is opened. A bundle is created for each target language.
  10. Send the *.zip bundle to the regulator using an agreed-upon method, for example, by email or by placing the bundle on a FTP site.
