Editing connection settings for SDL BeGlobal providers

It is recommended that you edit SDL BeGlobal settings when provider details change or when its credentials originate from a third-party.

About this task

Edit the SDL BeGlobal connection settings when:

  • You open a package which contains connection details for the SDL BeGlobal Online service, and you need to enter your API key and/or user key to enable the service.
  • You open a package which contains connection details for a LW enterprise translation provider for which you do not have permission rights.
  • You notice that the project was moved to another machine, and the API key and/or user key needs to be entered on the new computer.
  • You notice that the server address or other server details changed.

Procedure

  1. Decide whether you want to edit the SDL BeGlobal connection:
    • For all future projects - Go to File > Options > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs/ [source language - target language] pair.
    • For the current project - Go to the Projects view, select a project. On the Home tab, select Project Settings, and then in the Project Settings dialog, select Language Pairs > All Language Pairs / [source language - target language] pair.
The Language Pairs settings are displayed on the right. Any language pairs for which default translation memory selections have been added, are displayed in the Language Pairs box.
  2. Go to All Language Pairs / [source language - target language] > Translation Memory and Automated Translation.
  3. Select the BeGlobal Enterprise connection, and then select Settings.
  4. The Edit Connection to SDL BeGlobal Automated Translation wizard is displayed on the Choose Existing Account Type page.
    • Enable the service by entering an API key and/or user key by selecting Next. On the Connection Settings page, enter the appropriate keys.
    • Change other settings as required and select Next. On the Save Connection Details page, specify if you want to save these settings. This allows you to reuse these settings for other language directions in this project or for use in another project.
  5. Select OK.
