Navigating segments

When translating text, you navigate segments in the Editor window, of the Editor view. By default, whenever you confirm a translation, the cursor automatically moves to the next segment which needs to be translated. You can also move the cursor to another segment manually.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
  2. Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
  3. Use one of the following methods to navigate to another segment manually:
    • Use the mouse to click inside the segment you want to work in.
    • Press Ctrl+Page Up to move the cursor to the start of the current segment.
    • Press Ctrl+Page Down to move the cursor to the end of the current segment.
    • Press Ctrl+ down arrow to go to the next unconfirmed segment.
    • Press Ctrl+ up arrow to go to the previous unconfirmed segment.
    • Go to the Home tab, and, in the Navigate group, select Next and Previous, to navigate to the next or previous unconfirmed segment.
    • Use the scroll bar to scroll the segments. Click inside the source segments and use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll them. Split the source and target segments into two lists and scroll them separately.

When source and target segments become misaligned, ensure that the cursor is inside a target segment and then select Scroll source to target selection from the View tab.
