Specifying numbers for QA Checker
Use the settings to specify if numbers, dates and times should be checked to see if they were converted correctly to the target language.
Before you begin
Make sure the QA Checker provider is enabled. To enable QA Checker, go to and select the QA Checker 3.0.
Procedure
- Choose where you want to specify the settings.
- To specify verification settings for your active project, go to Project Settings.
- To specify verification settings for your active project but only for a specific language pair, go to .
- To specify verification settings for all future projects, go to .
- To specify verification settings during batch tasks, go to the Projects view or the Files view, select Batch Tasks, choose a batch process and go to the Settings page.
- To specify verification settings in a project template, create a project template by going to the Projects view selecting Create Project Template from the Ribbon, then specify verification settings in the Project Template Settings dialog. You can also edit an existing project template.
- Decide whether you want to specify QA Checker settings:
- For all language pair levels (system-wide) - Go to . If you choose to specify QA Checker settings at system-wide level, you can specify all the available pages:
- Segments Verification
- Segments to Exclude
- Inconsistencies
- Punctuation
- Numbers
- Word List
- Regular Expressions
- Trademark Check
- Length Verification
- QA Checker Profiles
- For individual language pairs - Go to . If you choose to specify QA Checker settings at individual-language pair level, you can specify ONLY the following available pages:
- Punctuation
- Numbers
- Word List
- Regular Expressions
- QA Checker Profiles
- For all language pair levels (system-wide) - Go to . If you choose to specify QA Checker settings at system-wide level, you can specify all the available pages:
- Select Numbers from navigation.
- Select or clear the available checkboxes:
- Check numbers - This option verifies whether numbers from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.
Incorrect Conversion: the English source segment says "5,000" and the German target segment says "50.000".
Correct Conversion: the English source segment says "5,000" and the target German sentence says "5.000" in German.
- Check times - This option verifies whether times from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.
- Check dates - This option verifies whether dates from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.
- Check measurements - This option verifies whether measurements (e.g. 1kg, 1cm, etc.) from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.
- Check numbers - This option verifies whether numbers from the source segment were used correctly in the target segment.
- For each of the selected options, choose a severity level from the drop-down list: Error, Warning and Note.
