Step 4 - Sending files for review from SDL WorldServer in a Regulated Industry

After you finished translating a file and the changes are imported back into SDL WorldServer from SDL Trados Studio, the job is passed to the next phase of review.

These workflows enable you to send the job to reviewers using SDL Trados Studio or Microsoft Word. You can then get, for example, a subject matter expert review to check the meaning in the translated text and a proofreader review to check for the spelling and punctuation.

For detailed instructions on how to perform these procedures in SDL WorldServer, consult the SDL WorldServer and SDL Trados Studio Integration Guide.

Review in SDL Trados Studio

In SDL WorldServer, the Project Manager creates a SDL WorldServer project package (*.wxsz), and then sends it to the SDL Trados Studio user for review. The package also includes the QA Checker Profile configurations * set in SDL WorldServer. These ensure that the same quality settings are used for all the files part of that SDL WorldServer project.

Once reviewed, a return package can be created and uploaded to SDL WorldServer. If further translation work is needed, the return package can be sent out for translation in SDL Trados Studio again.

Bilingual review in Microsoft Word

If you are in a workflow where the reviewer does not have SDL Trados Studio, you can export to an external review file in Microsoft Word format. You can then review the file in Word and update SDL WorldServer with the corrections.
