Uploading return packages to WorldServer automatically

To return completed work or return a translation for further work, you can create a return package. You can only do this if you received the file initially in a project package from the project manager or from another user. You can either automatically upload the return package to WorldServer from SDL Trados Studio or you can save the return package to your computer then manually import it from WorldServer.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. In the Projects view, select Create Return Package. The Create Return Package wizard is displayed on the Select Files page. All files in the project are included in the list apart from reference files.
  3. On the Select Files page, select or clear the checkboxes next to the file names, to include or exclude them from the package. If you have previously included any of the files displayed in another return package, those files will not be selected by default.
  4. Select Next.
  5. On the Return Package Options page, choose Server. If the package was created in WorldServer 10.3 or later, SDL Trados Studio recognizes the server where the package came from so that you can upload the return package back to its original location. For packages created in earlier versions, enter the server address in the Server field.
  6. Select Authentication to enter your credentials for the specified server address.
  7. Optionally, add a comment to the return package in the Comment box.
  8. Select Finish to create the package and go to the Creating Return Package page. SDL Trados Studio creates the return package and uploads it to WorldServer. Once the package creation is complete, the statuses next to the progress bars change to Completed.

If errors or warnings occurred during package creation and upload, select the package and select Show Results. The Results dialog is displayed.

After the return package is created, the manual task assigned to the files in that package is displayed as complete in the My Tasks folder, in the navigation tree of the Files view.
