To return completed work or return a translation for further work, you can create a return package. You can only do this if you received the file initially in a project package from the project manager or from another user. You can either automatically upload the return package to WorldServer from SDL Trados Studio or you can save the return package to your computer then manually import it from WorldServer
Procedure
- Go to the Home tab.
- In the Projects view, select Create Return Package. The Create Return Package wizard is displayed on the Select Files page. All files in the project are included in the list apart from reference files.
Note: If you select files that were not originally received in a project package, the Create Return Package option will be disabled (grayed out).
- On the Select Files page, select or clear the checkboxes next to the file names, to include or exclude them from the package. If you have previously included any of the files displayed in another return package, those files will not be selected by default.
- Select Next.
- On the Return Package Options page, choose the File option. This will save the return package to your computer.
- Browse to the location where you want to save the return package, enter a name for the return package in the File name box and click Save.
- Optionally, add a comment to the return package in the Comment box.
- Select Finish to create the package and go to the Creating Return Package page. Once the package creation is complete, the status next to the package name changes to Completed. If errors or warnings occurred during package creation, select the package and click Show Results. The Results dialog is displayed.
- Send the package to the project manager.
- To send the package by email, select Send Package by Email. A draft email addressed to the selected user is displayed with the return package file attached. Select Send to send the email and return to the Create Return Package wizard.
Note: In some situations a Microsoft Office Outlook dialog requesting you allow access to Microsoft Office Outlook is displayed. Select the Allow access for checkbox and then select the amount of time in minutes from the drop-down list. SDL recommends that you select 10 minutes from the drop-down list.
- To send the package by a different method such as placing the return package on FTP site, select Open Target Folder to open the folder where your return package is saved. Copy and paste the return package to your chosen location and give access to it to the project manager.
- On the Create Return Package wizard, select the Close to exit the wizard.
- The project manager imports the return package into WorldServer. If you have access to the WorldServer system on which the project was created, you can log into WorldServer and import the return package yourself. For detailed instructions on performing these steps in WorldServer, see the Importing Return Packages section of the SDL WorldServer and SDL Trados Studio Integration Guide.
