Using SDL WorldServer TMs in projects

Using SDL WorldServer TMs means connecting to a TM stored outside SDL Trados Studio .

Procedure

  1. Decide whether you want to use TMs:
    • For all future projects - Go to File > Options > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Translation Memory and Automated Translation.
    • For the current project - Go to the Projects view, and select the project. On the Home tab, select Project Settings, and then go to Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Translation Memory and Automated Translation.
  2. Select Use... > SDL WorldServer Translation Memory.
  3. In the Select SDL WorldServer Translation Memory dialog, select a server from the drop-down list. If the server you want to use is not listed, complete the following steps to add the server:
    1. Perform an action:
      • Select a server from the Server: list.
      • If the server of your choice is not in the list, select the Servers... button and, in the SDL WorldServers Accounts dialog, select Add. Enter the server address and provide the SDL authentication credentials.
    2. Select the TM from the list.
    3. Select OK.
  4. To view only translation memories that are supported by one of the language pairs you have already added to the template or project, select Enable language filtering and then select the language pair from the Language pairs box.
  5. Select OK to save your changes.
The WorldServer TM is now available for use.
