Purging finished Workflow Process histories
When a Workflow Process instance has executed all of its steps, SDL Tridion keeps a record of it in the form of a Workflow Process history. If many items are frequently subject to Workflow Processes, these histories can fill up your Content Manager database. To prevent this, purge the Workflow Process histories.

Procedure
From the PowerShell command prompt, enter the command
Remove-TcmProcessHistories, applying the following parameters:
Before-
An optional timestamp (
DateTime) indicating the cutoff point after which no Workflow Process histories should be purged. For example, set this parameter to 17 January 2013 to keep all Workflow Process histories created after that date.
SDL Tridion purges the Workflow Process histories that meet the criteria you specified. SDL Tridion purges the Workflow Process histories that meet the criteria you specified and to which you have access: either the histories of Workflow Processes of which you were a performer yourself or, if you are logged in as a system administrator user, all Workflow Process histories that meet the criteria you specified. The return value is the number of Workflow Process histories that were purged.
