Publication output status list
The statuses that a publication output can have are listed and described.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| To Be Published | The publication output was defined but rendering was not initiated yet. |
| Pending | The publishing process was initiated. The server that processes these jobs is busy processing other jobs. The job is processed when possible. |
| Unpublish Pending | The unpublishing process was initiated. The server that processes these jobs is busy processing other jobs. The job is processed when possible. |
| Publishing | The rendering of the publication is being done on the server. |
| Unpublishing | The unpublishing of the publication is being done on the server. |
| Released | The publication output was released. No changes to the content of the publication can be made anymore. |
| Release Candidate | The content that was rendered was processed without any issues. This means that all objects were present and released, that no invalid links, hyperlinks, conref links etc. were found, and that the publication output can be released. Objects include libraries and all exported resolutions for images. |
| Deploying Release Candidate | The same as Release Candidate, for as long as the publish process has not completed. This status is seen only when you publish to the Dynamic Delivery output format. |
| Draft | The content that was rendered was not processed without issues. This can mean, for example:
The publish report lists all issues that were found during the publishing process. |
| Deploying Draft | The same as Draft, for as long as the publish process has not completed. This status is seen only when you publish to the Dynamic Delivery output format. |
| Failed | The publishing process was terminated due to a fatal error while rendering. |
| Unpublish Failed | A fatal error terminated the unpublishing process. |
| Cancelled | The publishing or unpublishing process was stopped by the user before it was completed. Unpublishing can be cancelled only during the unpublish pending phase. |
| Out-of-date | Indicates that one or several of the following have changed after the last time publishing was executed:
Since the current content of the output is not up-to-date the output should be published again. |
