Changing the account settings in COM+

If the Content Manager Service user account is changed follow this procedure to change the account for the COM+ application.

Procedure

  1. Open Component Services by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative tools > Component Services
  2. Click Component Services > Computers > My Computer > COM+ Applications.
  3. Change the view to a detail view: View > Detail
  4. Find the COM+ application named Trisoft-InfoShare-Author on which the username or password has to be changed.
    1. Right-click on the COM+ application then click Shutdown.
    2. Right-click the COM+ application in the right pane then click Properties.
  5. In the Properties window, click the Identity tab.
    1. Enter the username of the designated OS user in the Username field.
      This is usually domain\username when it is a domain user or computername\username when it is a local user. This is case-sensitive.
    2. Enter the password of the designated OS user in the Password field and the Confirm Password field.
    3. Click OK to save the changes.
  6. Repeat the steps for the remaining Content Manager COM+ applications.
