How can I clean up the event log?

Use the web client to clean the event logs when they becomes large and takes too long to load and display.

Question: My event log is taking up too much space and takes too long to load. How can I remove or truncate the file?

  1. Login to the Content Manager web client as a user in the Administrator group.
  2. Click the Event Log tab.
  3. Select the event log; recent, failed, busy, warning, all, that you want to clean from the All Events bar in the right pane.
  4. Select the events to delete.
    To display older events first, click on a date field. The display toggles from latest to oldest each time clicked.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. When prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to delete.
