You can add Components, Multimedia Components or Pages to an Initiative. These Content Assets are items that you have published on your Web site that you want visitors to consume en route to completing the goal of the Initiative.
Procedure
- Open the Online Marketing Explorer.
- Open an Initiative:
- Navigate to where your Initiatives are stored in the Initiative Management navigation pane.
- Click a Publication.
- Browse through the Folder structure to locate your Initiatives. The Initiatives overview screen displays all the Initiatives in the currently selected Folder.
- In the canvas, double-click an Initiative or click Open in the ribbon toolbar to open it for editing.
- In the Asset Library, open the Content Assets list:
- In the Asset Library, navigate through Folders or Structure Groups to locate the Asset you want to add:
- Components and Multimedia Components are contained in Folders
- Pages are contained in Structure Groups
- Select an Asset and drag-and-drop it onto the canvas.
- Repeat the procedure to add additional Assets to the Initiative.
- Set Asset properties by selecting the Asset in the canvas and clicking Assets tab on the right-hand side:
- Select the Entry Asset check box to specify that the Content Asset is an Entry Asset (by default, the Asset is added as a regular Asset).
- For Multimedia Components, deselect Track Downloads if there is no specific reason to track downloaded files separately. For example, pictures viewed on a Web page are always counted as downloads, so a report will display the number of times the image is viewed and downloaded as the same. Deselecting Track Downloads therefore prevents erroneous information from being displayed in reports.
- Click Asset List to view all Assets in the Initiative.
